Ford came in india in 1995 with launched its first can in1998 Ford Escorts. which was later succeeded by Ford Ikon in 2001. Ford is existing his manufacturing services but will continue to give service to his valuable customers with ongoing parts and warranty support.

Ford will close its operation in Senand by fourth quarter in 2021. and vehicle and e engine manufacturing in Maraimalai by second quarter of 2022.

Ford is now eyeing on sustainably profitable business in India. Ford is focusing on rolling out its iconic modules in the market by importing. they are also planning to roll out e- cars like Mach-E in india.
